Horses care with social impact!
This experience allows anyone who loves animals to take care of the horses of a non-profit association in Rome, dedicated not only to the care of animals but also, and above all, to the social inclusion and well-being of people affected by the spectrum of autism. All this in a splendid riding school located on the edge of the Appia Antica Archaeological Park.
The riding school is a socio-assistance center that follows an experimental outdoor project: this means that users take care of the riding school through pet therapy activities with horses in the open air, following rehabilitation paths in an integrated and non-health context (these are serious cases previously removed from day centers pursuant to Article 26, which are instead heavily medicalised).
By participating in this experience, you will contribute to the mission of the association and support it in its daily activities:
- Welcoming activity and briefing with the beneficiaries, with a short presentation of the NGO’s mission.
- Horse care activity! Side by side with the beneficiaries of the association, you will be feeding and giving water to the horses, and cleaning their space. Ready for a ride? It’s time to walk across the Archaeological Appia Park, surrounded by nature and historical buildings/findings from the ancient era.
- This experience does not require previous preparation, so if it is your first time on horseback, it is the right opportunity to learn how to do it in the best way, treating our horse friends as they deserve.
If you visit Rome, you cannot miss this slice of nature in such a large metropolis, but above all you cannot miss the opportunity to be part of a project with such a high social and environmental impact!

You will have an amazing time riding a horse from the NGO through the archaeological Appia Park. Be ready to be surrounded by trees, history and a lot of emotions.
Please note that the path is always chosen accordingly to the weather and the time spent taking care of horses.
Does this experience require a high level of physical fitness?
No! All activities within this experience only require a medium or low level of physical fitness!
How and when do I need to pay for my responsible experience with ImpacTrip??
You can pay us through Paypal or bank transfer. We will kindly ask you to pay 50% of your bill at the time of your booking to secure your spot! The other 50% will be due at least one day before your experience!
