Street Art in Rome

Street Art in Rome

This tour is an immersion in the historic outskirts of Rome, the popular neighborhood of the Trullo.

How do you get to the Trullo? In which quadrant of Rome is it located? Which side of the Tiber? Which Rome you will have to cross for getting there? Thanks to this tour, the Trullo will no longer be a mystery.
You will discover a new Rome, beyond the city walls, immersed in the suburbs and its projects, that you can see reflected in the street art all around. We will take advantage of urban history, social geography and fiction to propose a picture of the historical periphery of Rome and its legacy in the contemporary city.

The walk to the Trullo is challenging due to the lively morphology of the territory: four mountains, one marana that crosses them, the bend of the river… And the roads to take are not always paved! The route is adaptable of time after time to the needs of the group and its spirit of adventure: down here there is no shortage of urban forests to explore!

The tour is carried out by a cultural association made up of two humanists (a historian and a geographer). Part of the proceeds are shared with the neighborhood, to finance new artistic and social projects aimed at re-evaluating the area.

Available EVERY MONDAY AND EVERY FRIDAY in the afternoon (starting at 14:00), all weeks excluded August and December.
