Lisbon

The vibrant and colorful Lisbon is the capital and largest city of Portugal and one of the oldest cities in the world!

Lisbon faces social, economic, and environmental challenges that Impactrip's volunteer programs aim to address.
Lisbon, renowned for its historic landmarks and cultural vibrancy, depends heavily on tourism, which, despite boosting the economy, also causes overcrowding, strain on public services, and environmental degradation.
Economic difficulties have led to high unemployment and poverty, resulting in food insecurity and limited access to essential services, particularly in underprivileged areas.
Socially, the city grapples with integrating migrants and refugees who need language classes, job training, and other support services. Additionally, children from low-income families require educational support and mentorship to escape the poverty cycle.
Environmentally, pollution and climate change threaten Lisbon's landscapes, necessitating conservation efforts.
Impactrip's volunteer initiatives include environmental conservation, food rescue programs, and support for migrants and underprivileged youth.
These efforts not only improve living conditions and protect the environment but also foster cultural understanding and solidarity.
