About Us
Who are we?
ImpacTrip is a purposeful travel agency that offers meaningful social and environmental volunteering programs across Europe.
We are a Social Enterprise with the mission to support and empower the work of social and environmental non-profits!
The company was founded in 2015 by Rita and Diogo, two dedicated social entrepreneurs who wanted to change the way people travel.
They want travelers to have the most unique and meaningful travel experiences to connect with the locals, to experience the culture and to contribute in a positive way to the local communities while making friends from all over the world.
We do this through our different brands:

Impact Beach House is a Hostel by the beach in Estoril, dedicated to Climate Action with a special focus on Ocean Conservation and Circular Economy.
We are proud to be a B Corp!
Society’s most challenging problems cannot be solved by government and nonprofits alone. The B Corp community works toward reduced inequality, lower levels of poverty, a healthier environment, stronger communities, and the creation of more high quality jobs with dignity and purpose. By harnessing the power of business, B Corps use profits and growth as a means to a greater end: positive impact for their employees, communities, and the environment.
In 2023 we did our first 3rd year recertification and our score is 127.3 out of 200, which is a great score!

Rita Marques
Founder and CEO
As a serial traveler and eternal optimist, being a social entrepreneur has been her wildest adventure.
Has lived in 3 different countries and traveled through 40+ countries across 4 different continents.
Diogo Areosa
Founder and CEO
Studied Tourism, specialized in Rural Tourism and travel agencies.
Passionate about water sports; was a sailing champion in his youth. Lived in Madrid for a year, so try his Spanish!
