The Impact+ Privacy Policy aims to explain our approach to the data privacy, and how we deal and what we do with that information. Impact+ takes its data protection and privacy responsibilities seriously.
Is Impact+’s responsibility to treat any personal information with respect, and inform you, so that you can decide if you want to share it with us, or not.
All personal information relating to members, subscribers, customers or visitors using Impactrip.com will be handled in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act of October 26, 1998 (Law No. 67/98) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to keep it up to date with legal requirements and the way we operate our business so the company reserves the right to change this agreement without prior notice. Therefore, we recommend that you review our privacy policy regularly so that you are always up-to-date.
When this policy refers to “ImpacTrip”, “Impact Beach House”, “Impact House”, “us”, “we” or “our” it refers to Social Impactrip Lda., which is responsible as the Data Controller for the security and management of your personal information.
The personal information collected may include your:

- telephone number and/or mobile phone number,

- gender,
- date of birth,
- passport number,
- nationality,
- flight details,
- insurance details
- weight, height, and show size/number to select the most suitable diving equipment,
- dietary requirements,
- medical history and details,
- motivations and relevant skills,
- criminal record,
- visa required information,
- among others that might be necessary for the chosen program.
Personal data is either supplied by clients or commercial partners directly to Social Impactrip, Lda, or provided to us by someone representing you. We may also collect personal information if you choose to enter a scholarship or other promotion, subscribe to our newsletter, or request a brochure or other document.
How we use your information
- Presenting information to you that, we believe, will be of interest and relevance, through a range of marketing and communication channels.
- Identifying and recommending programs or associated services that we think may be of interest to you.
- Enhancing, modifying, customizing or improving your experience on the website, marketing or communication.
- To better understand the effectiveness of our website, marketing and communications with you. We may choose to market and promote this information to you via a wide range of mediums based on personal information held.
Whenever we process your data for this purpose we will keep your personal information rights in high regard and take steps to safeguard personal information. If you wish to opt-out of receiving communications from ImpacTrip at any stage you can notify us by using ‘unsubscribe’ links or by info@impactrip.com. You can also request that we permanently remove all personal information that we currently hold about you by contacting us by info@impactrip.com. Once we are suitably notified, we will action your request within a reasonable timeframe.
Where possible we will comply with your request, however, there may be instances where we cannot fulfil your request, or there will be consequences if we were to fulfil your request. If that's the case, we will always communicate with you about any consequences before going forward, or give you written reasons for any refusal. Under certain data protection laws, including the EU/UK GDPR, you may also (subject to some exceptions):- withdraw consent to our use of your information for marketing/communication purposes;
- object to the processing of your personal data, where we collect your data for our legitimate interest;

Photo and Video When you are travelling with us, as part of your experience a photo or video may be taken either by the Impact+ team, or one of our partners or another participant. We care about your privacy so if you do not wish for your photograph to be taken at any time, or to be included in any video, please let your local coordinator or our team know. Whilst we take every precaution to protect your privacy, we are not responsible for participants who may take your photograph or video you without our knowledge. Occasionally, we may engage professional photographers to take and obtain photos to use in our marketing materials. We ensure that all of our customers are notified if a professional photographer is being engaged and you have the right to say no or opt out of being included in any photos being taken for these purposes, including any subsequent content or images use. Data Protection Officer Impact+ has appointed a Data Protection Officer. If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or are concerned about how we have handled your personal information, please get in touch with us. We treat privacy matters seriously and will endeavor to correct the matter. Complaint to the Data Protection Authority If you have any concerns or complaints about how we collect or process your personal information, you can complain to your local data protection authority. However, we would ask that you first contact us to seek to resolve the concern or complaint in the first instance. Retention We retain and store most information about you in computer systems and databases operated by either us or our external service providers.
