Celebrating a year of growth, impact, and new beginnings: The Impact 2024 Report!

4th August 2025

2024 has been a landmark year for Impact +. From expanding our global presence to deepening our commitment to sustainability and community, we’re proud to share the milestones that shaped this year, all captured in our newly released Impact 2024 Report.

A new chapter: the opening of Impact House Athens

One of the most exciting developments this year was the grand opening of our Impact House Athens - a new addition to our growing network of hostels. But this isn’t just any hostel. The Impact House Athens was designed with a unique mission in mind: refugee integration. We wanted to create a space where not only travellers, but also refugees, could feel at home, connect with one another, and be empowered as they transition into new lives.

Recognition in sustainability: Green Key & Sustainability Engaged awards

Sustainability has always been at the heart of Impactrip’s mission, and this year, our efforts were recognized with two prestigious awards:

  • Green Key - a globally recognized eco-label for sustainable tourism establishments.
  • Sustainability Engaged from Turismo de Portugal, highlighting our ongoing commitment to integrating sustainability into every aspect of our business operations.

These awards are a reflection of the hard work and dedication of everyone involved in Impactrip - from our on-the-ground teams to our partners around the world. They serve as a reminder that sustainability is not just a buzzword for us, but a deeply ingrained part of who we are and what we

Our global impact in numbers

Here’s what 2024 looked like across our global community:
- 1,330 volunteers from 56 different nationalities
- 701 global partners supporting our projects

- 47 volunteering programs, including 12 brand-new initiatives

- 10,229 people reached our Impact Beach House in Portugal
- 100% of profit reinvested into our mission since 2015

A commitment to reinvesting in change

One of the core principles that has always guided Impactrip is our commitment to reinvesting 100% of our profits into projects that make a difference. Since 2015, we have maintained this promise, ensuring that every euro we earn goes directly back into creating opportunities for refugees, supporting local communities, and funding sustainability projects.

This year, we were able to fund several new initiatives, including the opening of Impact House Athens, additional support for local environmental projects, and the expansion of our volunteer programs. The more we grow, the more we can reinvest in creating spaces where people can connect, learn, and make a lasting impact.

Looking ahead: continuing to grow with purpose

As we look toward the future, we are excited about the possibilities ahead. The progress we’ve made in 2024 is just the beginning, and we are committed to deepening our impact, expanding our network of partners, and providing more opportunities for volunteers to get involved.

At Impactrip, we believe that change happens when people come together, and together, we are creating a more sustainable, inclusive, and compassionate world. Whether you’re a traveler, a volunteer, a partner, or a supporter, we invite you to join us on this journey.
